Cistus (rockrose) grows throughout the mediterranean. The Greek island of Crete is especially renowned for the quality of its Labdanum, dervied from the boiled flowers of Cistus creticus. This resin comes from wild-harvested flowers, manufactured using modern boiling methods. The quality is extremely high owing to the lack of inclusions within the resin.
