Grade AAA somali "Beyo" frankincense.
 
"Beyo" frankincense typically refers to Boswellia carterii resins, though can be applied to other species of frankincense from the region. This particular resin is harvested by one traditional community in Puntland, a semi-autonomous state in northeast Somalia. My friend, Abdibasi, provides some of the clearest and most fragrant Beyo frankincese on the market. The pieces are mixed in size and produce rich citrus notes when burned.
